Where your truth meets mindful care
MindfulU's mission is to provide accessible, online therapy in Ontario, that is grounded in mindful presence and intentional living so individuals can reclaim their authentic selves.
At MindfulU, authenticity is non-negotiable. Real healing begins when you stop trying to be who you think you should be and start showing up as who you are—that’s where the work gets powerful. This is therapy that slows things down enough for you to hear yourself clearly, get curious about what’s beneath the surface, and build self-trust one session at a time.
When you combine that kind of self honesty with MindfulU's intentional, mindful approach, you’re not just coping, you’re changing in a way that sticks. Here, we trade the clinical script for real conversation, evidence-based tools, and presence that meets you exactly where you are. When you operate from mindfulness, you move towards the life you actually want to live.
MindfulU blends proven therapeutic practices with a holistic, heart-centered lens.
Life has a way of pulling us away from who we truly are. At MindfulU, therapy is an invitation to return and reconnect with your most authentic self. Using a balance of mindful presence and a heart-based approach, you’ll be supported in letting go of what no longer serves you and making space for what truly matters. This is not just about healing, it’s about becoming.
At the core of MindfulU is the belief that you are a soul having a human experience which is why every session is a space to pause, reflect, and explore what’s really going on beneath the surface. Here, authenticity is the starting point, and your growth is the goal.

You are a soul having a human experience.
Get to know the human behind the work
MindfulU is powered by one person who's walked the messy, complicated, and deeply human road of healing herself.

Hello, my friend. I'm Tanja (pronounced TAHN-yah) and I'm the therapist at MindfulU Therapy. I know what it’s like to feel incredibly vulnerable reaching out for support. When I first started therapy, I was carrying pain I couldn’t even put into words.
As a trauma survivor, I understand the weight of invisible burdens and the way they quietly shape your life. My own healing journey wasn’t easy, but it taught me the power of compassion, patience, and self-empowerment. As a Canadian immigrant, I also know the push-and-pull between honouring your roots and finding your own path, and the internal conflict that comes with it.
This lived experience allows me to meet my clients with genuine empathy and zero judgment. I’m here to walk alongside you, not above you. I work with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and different expressions of gender and sexuality, helping them find their voice, embrace their truth, and step into a life that actually feels like theirs.
My style? No scripts. No therapy voice. I bring warmth, edge, and a healthy dose of humour into the room, because healing is heavy enough without making it harder. This is therapy for the whole you—the messy, the hopeful, the tired, the determined.
